The Love Campus account and basket
The Love Campus and our college sites use the same student identity and support desk. The campus displays your existing course progress, certificates, verified ebook access, and purchase history. Moving between the campus and Marriage College uses a short-lived, one-use sign-in code; each website has its own secure, essential session cookie. Campus sessions last 30 days, and its sign-in confirmation cookie expires after 10 minutes. A separate essential basket cookie identifies a server-stored basket for 30 days. Signing in combines that browser basket with the basket attached to your student account. No payment card details are stored in the basket.
Checkout records may retain the selected items, delivery and gift details, consent version, and links to the payment and fulfillment records. Signing out everywhere revokes your current student sessions across the campus and Marriage College. These services use the same hosting, payment, email, retention, and privacy-request arrangements described below.
App and shop launch notifications
If you ask us to notify you when The Joint Account is available on iPhone or Android, or when the Marriage College shop opens, we collect your email address and chosen list solely to send the relevant launch notification. We send one email for each list you choose. We remove the address from that list after its notification is sent, or earlier on request. To ask for removal, email ja@themarriagecollege.com.
Ebook purchases and gifts
We store the buyer name and email, recipient email, optional dedication, payment reference and delivery status to fulfill the purchase and provide support. The gift recipient receives the buyer name and message in their email and personalized book. Stripe handles payment information; Resend delivers transactional email. These details are not an opt-in to marketing. Do not include sensitive information in a dedication. Private download links grant access to the purchased copy; keep them confidential. Order records are retained for fulfillment and applicable accounting obligations. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion where permitted.
Your details stay yours.
Marriage College uses student information to provide courses, manage access and issue personalized awards. We do not sell your personal information or use relationship details for advertising.
Who is responsible?
Marriage College handles the information described in this notice. While admissions are closed, please do not submit personal details; the registration form is inactive.
What we collect
When registration opens, we collect your name and email to provide your account and certificates. Relationship status, years married and course interests are optional; choose “Prefer not to say” or leave optional fields blank. We do not ask about intimate experiences or your partner’s identity.
We store course purchases, assessment scores, award references and timestamps. Stripe handles payment details on its secure checkout; we do not receive or store full card numbers. Transactional emails are sent using Resend when enabled.
Gifts and personal messages
For a gift we collect the purchaser and recipient names and email addresses, the optional personal note, payment reference and redemption status. We use these to deliver the gift, confirm the purchase, provide course access and support the order. Your name and note are shared with the recipient. Please only provide details you are entitled to share and do not include sensitive personal information in the note. Gift delivery does not subscribe either person to marketing.
A gift code is tied to the recipient email and one account. Treat it as private. For physical gifts, the delivery address and purchaser email are shared with Printful for delivery; your personal gift note and course progress are not. Unpaid gift quotes with no checkout session are removed after expiry during subsequent gift requests; contact us to request deletion of other abandoned gift details.
Shop orders and delivery
For merchandise quotes and orders, we collect the recipient name, delivery address and optional phone number. We share these details and your email with Printful to calculate delivery, print your product and arrange shipping. We store the selected product, payment reference and fulfillment status. Your course scores and relationship information are not sent to Printful. Unpaid quotes expire after 30 minutes and are removed when you request another quote; you can also request deletion. Completed order records are retained as needed for fulfillment, support and accounting obligations.
Partner enquiries
If you register interest in becoming a partner, we store your contact email, how you heard about us (including your explanation if you choose Other), submission date and time, permission to contact you and enquiry status. When available, we also store approximate country and broad device and browser categories to understand our enquiries. These are estimates, not precise location or device identification. We do not collect this optional technical context when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control preference. We do not store raw IP addresses, browser user-agent strings or cookie values with enquiries, and this form does not set advertising or referral-tracking cookies. We send the enquiry to our team using Resend and use these details to discuss the program and its conditions. This does not subscribe you to a newsletter or create a partner account. You may ask us to stop contacting you or delete your enquiry using the contact email above.
Partner program
Partner records include contact details, declared country, reporting currency and dated reference exchange rates. We use these to manage the partnership, referral codes, sales reports and correspondence. Reports sent to partners contain aggregate customer counts, not customer contact details. Commercial records remain when a partnership ends.
Partner portal and commission payments
Partner sign-in uses an essential secure session cookie lasting eight hours. Passwords are stored as salted hashes; setup and reset links expire after 30 minutes. We record your last sign-in time. You can edit your profile and verify a new email from the portal. Bank details are encrypted in storage and are accessible only to you and the administrator arranging your manual transfer. A payment request keeps an encrypted snapshot of its bank destination, the commission amount and reference currency rate, so later profile edits do not change it. Notification emails contain a masked bank reference, never your full bank details or password. We retain payment requests, transfer references and relevant commercial history for accounting and dispute handling. Partner support messages and payment alerts are sent through Resend to the Partnership Office. Private portal activity is excluded from page analytics. Contact partners@themarriagecollege.com for access, corrections or deletion requests, subject to records we need to retain.
Partner referrals
If you use a partner link when signing in, we associate your account with the first active partner who referred you. A partner code entered before checkout takes priority for that order. We record the partner, order and referral time to calculate commission on qualifying paid purchases; no additional tracking cookie is set. Partners receive aggregate sales and customer counts, not customer contact details. Referral codes do not change your price. Ended partnerships cannot receive new referrals; historical commercial records are retained.
Support requests
When you contact support, we store your name, email, topic, message and request status, along with the request date and time and whether you were signed in. When available, we include approximate country, device and browser categories, browser language and the support form path to help diagnose the issue. Country, device and browser estimates are not collected when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. We do not store raw IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, session tokens or cookie values with your request. We send your request to our support inbox using Resend. We use these details to investigate and reply to you, not for marketing. Please do not include passwords, sign-in links or payment card details. Requests remain available for follow-up and you may ask us to delete them, subject to records needed for ongoing disputes or legal obligations.
Why we use it
Account, payment and award information is used to fulfill your course purchase. Optional profile details are supplied voluntarily to personalize your experience and can be removed on request. Basic security information helps prevent misuse. Any future marketing would require a separate choice; signing up does not subscribe you to marketing.
Storage, providers and retention
The website uses the Sites hosting platform and Cloudflare infrastructure. Stripe processes payments and Resend sends sign-in links and certificate emails. These providers may process data in other countries under their applicable safeguards and agreements.
Sign-in links expire after 20 minutes; session cookies after 30 days. Expired access tokens are removed during routine authentication activity. Account data remains while your account is active, or until a deletion request, subject to any transaction records we must retain for legal obligations. We keep paid course and award records so you can access and verify your achievements.
Cookies and public verification
We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. Public prices are shown in USD. Reference exchange rates used for partner reporting are fetched by our server; we do not send your account details to the European Central Bank. This site does not add advertising or analytics cookies. We count public page views using aggregated daily and hourly statistics, approximate country supplied by our hosting provider, page, social platform or referral category and device category. A recognized social-platform tag in a campaign link can identify the platform for that page view. We do not store IP addresses, visitor identifiers, query strings, individual campaign IDs or private page activity for analytics. Statistics are retained for up to 90 days. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected. Stripe may use cookies on its own checkout. Award verification pages display the course, issue date and reference only, never your email or relationship details. Anyone you share a certificate with can see the name printed on that PDF.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal information and withdraw optional profile information. Contact the operator using the published address above when admissions open. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
